Les Classfied Growths of Graves celebrated the 25th anniversary of their Accabailles dinner on the 15th December 2015. This traditional event commemorates the end of the harvest period as wine makers get together with chefs, sommeliers and owners of prestigious restaurants .
Each year, the 14 chateaux take it in turn to host this event. This year, Chateau Haut-Bailly organized the evening in the Bordeaux contemporary art gallery, the Capc. Veronique Sanders, managing director of chateau Haut-Bailly, Jean-Jacques Bonnie president of the Crus Classes de Graves and the other members of the union shared a unique moment with 170 guests from France and abroad.
The pre-dinner tasting of the reds (2012) and whites (2013) was held in the mezzaninies, overlooking the nave of the unique space.
The up and coming chef Tanguy Lavial, from the newly acclaimed Garopapilles restaurant created four dishes which paired perfectly with the different vintages presented, such as the Haut-Bailly 1998 que le château Haut-Brion 2003.
